The light; it can be found in a numerous amount of places. However, the most common tale told amongst human kind is the one found at the end of the tunnel of life. Those who experienced the existence between life and death will know this phenomenon well. Many cases have been reported throughout the years, their every detail recorded in hopes of finding out the meaning behind it all.
They say, “Don’t go into the light.” The question is, though, how do they know what will happen? If it leads to your ultimate death, there would be no proof. Those experiencing it would perish forever. What if, however, that is simply a rumor? People fear the unknown. They are tentative in their approach, dipping just their toe in to check the temperature before fully submersing themselves in the overwhelming knowledge.
Every rumor is spun from some fabric of truth. Someone had to have walked into the light at some point of time in our world’s history. Something happened, something so undeniably substantial, to cause a fear of the light to be instilled into our very being. Something so extraordinary that it made the first domino of caution to fall into place.
However, unbeknownst to a vast majority of human kind, something did happen. A man pushed aside his rational thought and placed his eternal life in the hands of a gamble. He was touched by the light; enveloped in its golden caress and “kissed” by its magical glow. He was the first of many yet to come. Few dare to enter the surreal glow of the light that exists on the border of Life and Death. They are rewarded for their curiosity and bravery with a second chance, but with a twisted catch.
For the man or woman with the courage to push aside caution, he or she must give something in return. They must work off their debt by becoming the protectors of this world, the Soul Sentinels. To fulfill this task, they must act as the gatekeepers of Life; forever leading the wary souls on their journey to the other side.

 Like I said in your livejournal, I love it to death. My only criticism is a grammatical error that caught my eye.
 Shouldn't it be "a/one twisted catch" in the second to last paragraph?-- Good things come to those who wait~  Haha probably...that was a last minute change and I more than likely didn't read it clearly...
