Precious ones called Blessings in Disguise,
We are the children that woke you with our cries.
With skinned up knees and booboos galore,
We are the children that you adore.
Over, under, around and through,
We are the children with the untied shoe.
Covered in mud from a rainy day,
We are the children who only wished to play.
A bloody nose and hair unruly,
We are the children fighting the school bully.
Spouting out words so crude and vile,
We are the children washing our mouths with Dial.
Getting caught sneaking home late,
We are the children whore starting to date.
The time has come, the time you dread,
We are the children being enrolled in Sex Ed.
Thinking that we are the ones so cool,
We are the children graduating from high school.
Finding the one we love, we know its now,
We are the children exchanging our wedding vows.
Experiencing all this for ourselves first hand,
We are the children that just made you a Grand.
The ones who love you, despite what we say,
We are the children wishing you Happy Mothers Day!
