Edit: This poem was NOT written by me, nor my friend. I didn't realize it was already a written poem. I don't claim it in any way, shape or form. I only wished to show off my gift from my friend.

IT DIDNOT INVADE MY SOUL,
SUPPRESS MY MEMORIES,
KILL MY FRIENDSHIPS,
DESTROY MY PEACE,
CONQUER MY SPIRIT,
SHATTER MY HOPES,
CRIPPLE MY LOVE,
CORRODE MY FAITH,
STEAL MY ETERNAL LIFE,
OR SILENCE MY COURAGE,
BY GOD'S WILL
I DID SURVIVE!




Not sure if this is technically visual poetry, but I wasn't sure where else to put it, okay?

This is a gift from a very good friend of mine. Well, her fiancé, really. I work with the woman and she learned of my medical history. The cancer and the heart transplant.

She was in awe of it basically. She went home and told her fiancé about it. He was inspired to draw me a picture.

I was in shock. Honestly, I nearly cried when I read the words he had written on there for me.

With their permission, I was allowed to post this on here for everyone else to see.

Wow! This is very touching. I can only imagine how you feel. I had no clue that you survived cancer and had a heart transplant. You are truly amazing :heart:

:blushes: Thank you. Yes, those are my big life stories. I wrote two things about my transplant. They are in my gallery. One is called "Abnormal Summer" and the other is called "Lesson Learned" if you wish to check them out.

Thanks again, though. I really appreciate it. And, I'm sure the gift-giver will appreciate the comment as well. :love:
